An ultimate waterfront holiday retreat. Fantastic self-catering waterfront bungalow, with linen provided.
Freedom to recline, play and reflect, less than one hour drive from Darwin. Situated on the cool and shaded northern side of the lake, with southern views over the entire length of the lake. A huge advantageis that Lake Bennett provides for safe swimming all year round.
Haven on the Lake is located in a shaded location, with trees out front that also provide privacy. Hooks are provided for hanging up the relaxing hammock provided, to gaze out over the lake during the day, up at the stars in the evening, or read that long awaited book.
Haven on the Lake also provides a large wrap-around covered deck, and is wheelchair friendly. Spacious under covered carparking, with dry access to the bungalow is also provided.
A large number of bird species can be found at and around the lake, and barramundi fishing is a favoured past time. Kangaroos, wallabies and kookaburra's are a common site, when undertaking a leisurely walk around the lake.
There is a resort located at Lake Bennett which provides access to a restaurant, (should you wish to not self-cater), mini golf, and a 9 hole golf course. Additonal canoe hire is also available.
Haven on the Lake is an excellent base for exploring the amazing surrounds, such as Kakadu National Park, Litchfield and Nitmiluk National Park, Manton Dam, Adelaide River War Cemetry and Adelaide River Railway Station.
